Foam Cutting Challenge
Our client, a chemical manufacturer, was creating a product-filled tool box for its customers. They wanted foam inserts that would keep bottles and tubes of glues and lubricants organized and easy to access. The project entailed creating foam inserts for each of the three drawers for 40 tool boxes.
Our Design Process
The company sent all of the case components, which allowed us to craft a very secure fit. The FUSH team, which has over 100 years of combined experience in fabrication and design, took accurate measurements and photos, then utilized our state-of-the-art drawing software to design inserts that precisely fit each product and allow ample space for ease in accessibility.
Cutting the Foam
We used 2.2 black polyethylene foam and a water jet cutting machine to transform the carefully crafted design into the actual foam insert. This foam choice is ideal for the project, which houses liquid products because polyethylene is chemical and water resistant. It also offers superior cushioning and is dust-free and non-abrasive.
The Finished Foam Inserts
The inserts enable the client to provide its customers with a convenient, portable single location for multiple, frequently used products.
